About AccordX

Built by people who have chased enough invoices to know there is a better way

We founded AccordX in Tokyo in 2023 because the AR software available to Japanese finance teams had not kept pace with what AI could actually do for collections.

Our Story

AR collections is a precision problem, not a volume problem

The standard advice for overdue receivables is to send more follow-ups. Call more. Email more. But finance teams in Japan understand that relationships matter, that the right message at the wrong time damages trust, and that volume-first collections tactics leave money on the table while creating friction with customers you want to keep.

AccordX was built on a different premise. Most late payments are not disputes or bad faith. They are friction, misaligned timing, and messages that land in the wrong format at the wrong moment. Address those three things systematically and recovery rates improve without the relationship cost.

We started with timing intelligence because we saw the clearest improvement there. Channel routing and message drafting followed when early customers showed us how much variance existed in what worked for different payer types. The product today is the direct result of watching real AR teams work through real invoice queues.

Our Values

How we build and how we work with customers

Three principles that shape every product decision and customer interaction.

Practitioner-first

Every feature decision starts from what real AR teams do with overdue invoices day to day. Not from what looks impressive in a demo. If a finance team cannot use it in the middle of a busy period close, it does not ship.

Precision over volume

We believe in fewer, better-targeted contacts rather than maximum outreach frequency. A well-timed, well-crafted message to the right channel recovers more than three generic follow-ups and preserves the customer relationship.

Transparent by default

Finance teams need to explain their collections decisions to management, auditors, and customers. AccordX shows its reasoning: why a message was scheduled for a given time, which channel was chosen and why, and what the expected outcome was.
